An Astounding Success for the Bog Bash

Midland Motorcycle Club and The Friends of St Lukes Cancer Hospital would like to say a massive Thank You and Well Done to Ollie Sadler for all his hard work and success in this years Bog Bash to raise much needed funds in aid of St Lukes Hospital.

Through the various events such as tug-o-war, sheep sheering  ( not to be mistaken by the local farmers annual hair cuts) turf cutting and the massively successfull auction Ollie managed to raise a massive €6,230 that goes to St Lukes.
It was a great weekend had by all but without the likes of Ollie and his dedication, everyone from Mountbolos, their huge community spirit and efforts, this weekend would not have been a success. Give yourselves a round of applause and a pat on the back!

Loretto, all the team in Midland MCC and The Friends of St Lukes

Personal Message From Lorretta Farrell

Well Guys and Girls,

I'd just like to say a personal thank you to each and every one of you. As you all know the Fun Run and Midland MCC was started only because so many of you know what St Lukes means to you. We have all just finished the 8th run and through all weather you kept going. Pat yourselves on the Back because "If I could I would". We all know that St Lukes Cancer Hospital has touched us each in our own way and because of this the Fun Run has grown from just a few of us to ALL YOU LOT! THANK YOU!

I'm definitely not complaining either. You are what makes each year special because as we have said on the home page.."Without you it would not be possible" We're not finished and we still need your help though. Each year we grow bigger and bigger and we need your help so I hope to see you all again next year but don't forget to tell all your friends.

There's going to be lots and lots happening and each and every one of you can help by simply doing what you are doing so keep it up.

I would like to thank all the bikers and your pillions whether you or they are husbands, wifes, boyfriends or girlfriends, everyone who helped us with the collections, our support teams - medical, transport, mechanical and not forgetting a special thanks to the Garda and all you marshals who kept the roads safe for us, everyone involved in organising this years run and last but not least a very special thanks to each and every one who donated, sponsored or contibuted to a very worthy cause. If I have left anyone out THANK YOU!

Last but not Least A Massive Thank You to everyone in ST LUKES CANCER HOSPITAL that looks after us, our family and friends in only a way you know how!

Lorretta Farrell

Counting Has Begun!

Hi All,

The counting has begun! Yes we now have the arduas task of counting each and every penny you guys raised and what was collected in the various towns. It's no easy task but well stick with it. At the end of each day we will put up the totals for all to see. Once we have the final totals we will be organising to hand over the cheque to The Friends of St Lukes so we'll let you know when that will happen.....Keep watching
